Save Our Seafood (S.O.S) Committee

In 2017, WWF-Malaysia explored the idea of initiating a group of like-minded businesses and establishments in the local sustainable seafood movement. The group is envisioned to become a Save Our Seafood committee drive with aims to:


Improve technical capacity and drive sustainable seafood practices among Malaysian businesses in the local seafood industry.


Be a responsible B2B platform connecting local producers, suppliers, and businesses such as hotels, retailers, restaurants, and caterers.


Be an open platform to discuss local issues related to MSC, ASC, and seafood improvement programs.


Raise marketability of certified seafood products and publicity on good practices by companies.

To help us create better structure of this Committee drive, we are currently seeking and analysing inputs from businesses to review commitments, expectations, priorities, and goals of this Committee.
